Beaujolais Nouveau

A very good excuse to drink something fresh, fruity and French.

It’s Beaujolais Nouveau day, and we’re celebrating with fresh Gamay from Domaine Patrice Arnaud.

Patrice is the fourth generation of his family to work the domaine, a family wine estate with roots going back to the 1700s. He took over in 2004 and began converting the vineyards to organic farming in 2009.

And the wine? Think juicy red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, a little floral lift and that lovely, crunchy freshness that makes Gamay so damn drinkable. Light on its feet, soft on the tannins and full of fruit. Best served with a little chill.
