Chartreuse & Dinner

Chartreuse is one of the most celebrated and mythical spirits in the world. Created from a secret recipe given to the Chartrusian Monkship in around Grenoble, France in 1605 the Elixir was said to hold healing and longivitae qualities.

The original script from 1605 is still the base of the recipes today and the product is still made my the Chartrusian Monkship, making quantities scarce. Despite its lengend laced history Chartreuse is still considered a house hold bottle in France and its consumption is deeply connected to the French dining rituals.
