WINE TASTING #3 Dive Into Beaujolais

WINE TASTING: Dive Into Beaujolais Join us on Sunday 19/04 for the third edition of relaxed and inspiring wine tasting, this time with Catherine DiGennaro from Vintro. Catherine left her heart in Beaujolais after spending the 2022 and 2023 vintages working in the Pierres Dorées for a small winery, where she started in the vineyards during harvest and saw the entire winemaking process unfold in the cellar. After the Beaujolais Nouveau in 2023, she moved back Copenhagen to work as a sommelier, where she had previously been working in gastronomy. After moving around for 4 years in France, Austria, and Italy to study viticulture and oenology, she felt it was time to put down some roots. She has a background as a sommelier in the New York restaurant scene, and it was there where she first discovered her love of Gamay and natural wine. In the summer of 2024, she started a new chapter working for Vintro, a wine importing company in Nørrebro, where she is now a partner in the company. We will try different expressions of Gamay from various producers and diverse terroir, as well as a vibrant Chardonnay from the southern part of Beaujolais, all of which are imported by Vintro.
