Agave Forum

If you think Mezcal is just smoky Tequila, we want to show you the full picture. On Saturday, June 6, we are opening the doors to Agave Forum at FiFi in Copenhagen. This is Denmarks very first festival dedicated entirely to the world of agave. We have spent months gathering the best agave importers in the country under one roof to create an experience that has never been done here before. The sheer value packed into this afternoon is wild. For just 299 kr, you can taste your way through the entire agave family in one sitting. You will be able to compare a wild Cupreata from Michoacan against a desert grown Sotol from Chihuahua, or discover rare expressions of Raicilla and Bacanora that are rarely open for samples. Your ticket includes your very own tasting glass to use at the stands and take home with you. From the moment you walk in, you have free access to sample from a massive selection of agave spirits on the Danish market. Early bird tickets are still available, but they are limited. WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY The festival runs from 12.00 to 19.00 and is packed with world class talent, education, and great food. Tastings and Seminars We have lined up an incredible schedule of educational sessions. Learn about the evolution of Mezcal in Denmark with Juuls, who have been importing it for 30 years. Explore the concept of terroir in Tequila with Louise Rosenkrands and Marie Mulbjerg, or dive into Mexican Aguardiente with Philip Gillier. Carl Wrangel will even host a session on how SOUND and COLOR change your perception of flavor. These sessions are fully included in your ticket. There is no pre registration, but capacity is limited, so they operate on a first come, first served basis when you arrive. The Agave Forum Boutique Want to take your favorite discoveries home? The festival boutique will be open all day, allowing you to purchase almost every bottle available for sampling on the floor, minus a few ultra rarities. You can also grab limited edition Agave Forum t-shirts designed by Marko Colors Geometry, and beautiful hand made copitas crafted right here in Nørrebro by Nørrebro Keramik. Food and Drinks To keep you fueled, Alberto Campos "El Nene" will be serving up an authentic menu from 14.00 to 19.00. The Tequila Bar by FiFi will also be open from noon until 22.00, powered by Tequila El Tequileno, featuring a full menu of cocktails, non alcoholic options, beer, wine, and plenty of water. From 17.00 onwards, the bar welcomes a stellar lineup of guest bartenders representing Mezcal Zond 5, including Violeta Kuldaite, Leo Lathi, Hardeep Rehal, and Elettra Mortillaro. THE AFTERPARTY AT THE BARKING DOG The festival doors close at 19.00, but the celebration does not stop there. From 21.00 to 02.00, we are moving the party over to The Barking Dog for the official Agave Forum Afterparty. The main bar is partnering with Tequila Ocho to serve a special menu of light, refreshing Reposado Tequila drinks to help you unwind. Meanwhile, Ben from Mezcal Pensador is taking over the bar within the bar for a full Mezcaleria experience, where you can grab a seat and taste rare expressions he brought along especially for this evening. With love, Cesar, Carl, Jarek & Pablo - SHOPPEN
