Street Tavern

Inspired by the wandering meyhanes of early 20th century Istanbul and the forgotten delicatessens tucked into its backstreets, we return to the roots of how it all began: with a tray of meze, a bottle of raki, and the simple joy of sharing both. There will be no rules. Choose your meze, take it home to enjoy on your own terms or sit down at our small chairs by the canal. Let time slow down. Let the food speak. Let the raki open the door to a good conversation. What will be on our tray? Grilled eggplant atom, muhammara, hummus, topik, mussel dolma and the perfect pairing of melon&cheese. And when the sea is kind to us, maybe even lakerda! 23th of August, follow the scent of aniseed.
