'As a true Dane, I love a traditional Danish lunch. Café Gammeltorv never disappoints me. On Sundays when I'm tired after a long week in the bakery, I go to Gammeltorv to relax. After two pieces of smørrebrød, a large draft beer, and a couple of snaps I am more than ready for a nap. The head-waiters Ann & Flemming always cheer me up and deliver an uncompromising piece of service every time. If I could, I would eat there every day.'
'To me, it’s the most charming of all the old school smørrebrød spots. It’s the perfect lunch, especially if you’re going to roll into the evening! Pickled herring & seabuckthorn, then Fried Plaice filet with remoulade. Mushroom toast if I’m super hungry. Always with a few schnapps and a pint.'
